Middle East debut for Langham Hotels
Langham Hotels International is to make its debut in the Middle East with the opening in late 2012 of the Langham Place in Doha, Qatar.
Offering 250 guestrooms and 40 serviced residences and situated in Al Shemoukh Towers in the heart of the city, the property is designed to be a lifestyle destination in its own right. Features will include DJs spinning in the lobby and by the pool; an urban Beach Club; a range of dining options, including a Japanese robatayaki restaurant, a Moroccan French cafe, and a concept called Portal - Work & Play, reflecting the fact that today's guests work and play in the same space; a chocolate bar and a cigar bar.
Elsewhere are to be the Middle East's first Chuan Spa, providing a range of treatments based upon the principles of traditional Chinese medicine; a pool; a ballroom and meeting rooms. The announcement of the new hotel comes on the heels of the phased opening on 15 October of the 24-storey, 357-room Langham Xintiandi in Shanghai, China.
Facilities include the Cachet all day dining restaurant, the Ming Court Chinese restaurant, the XTD bar and restaurant, the private Langham Club, a Chuan Spa, a 24-hour health club and gym, an indoor 25m swimming pool, a ballroom and eight meeting rooms. Image shows the Langham Xintiandi, Shanghai
