Radisson Edwardian is to relaunch its May Fair hotel in London on 2 November following a £75m, three-year revamp.
The hotel remained open throughout the work, which included the addition of new bar and grill, extra event space, a 200 sq m (2,150sq ft) penthouse and a 201-seat cinema and signature suites including the Schiaparelli, Amber, Amarillo and the Azure, which boasts a private entrance and lift.
Eleven ‘al fresco’ rooms have also been added to the hotel, each offering external decking, individual ornamental gardens, outdoor television and private dining facilities.
The hotel already boasts the beautiful Crystal Room, which includes a 6m by 3m chandelier made by the Parisian design house Baccarat and costing more than £1m.
Situated on Stratton Street, the May Fair was originally opened in 1927 by King George V before being bought by the Danziger brothers in the 1950s, who had also just opened London’s Elstree Studios.
