The best spas according to the newspapers are listed below
Lefay Resort and Spa Lago di Garda in Italy has topped a new list of the world’s 50 best spas, curated by The Times and The Sunday Times.
The newspapers have created an interactive platform with a guide to their top spas in destinations across Europe, Asia, Africa, North America and the Caribbean.
Available via their website today, the guide features detailed reviews of each spa. It will be complemented by a further supplement on the growth of consumer wellness and self-care trends, which will be published on Sunday 19th October.
Below is a list of the winners of the highest accolades in each category:
• Overall winner: Lefay Resort & Spa Lago di Garda, Gargnano, Italy
• Best detox spa: Park Igls, Innsbruck-Igls, Austria
• Best city spa: Botanic Sanctuary Antwerp, Belgium
• Best boutique spa: Prés d’Eugénie, Eugénie-les-Bains, France
• Best spa for solos: Euphoria Retreat, Mystras, Greece
• Best foodie spa: Palazzo Fiuggi, near Rome, Italy (reviewed by Sunday Times columnist Jeremy Clarkson)
