King's Lynn loses ground appeal
King's Lynn Football Club (KLFC) has lost its appeal against relegation from the Blue Square North league after officials ruled that the club's home ground did not meet the minimum stadium requirements.
The club is now set to compete in the Unibond Premier Division, despite the Borough Council of Kings Lynn and West Norfolk insisting that all necessary work at The Walks stadium would be completed ahead of the 2009-10 season. Officials from the Football Conference, which is responsible for managing the Blue Square North league, announced that KLFC would be demoted at the end of April, despite the club finishing the 2008-09 season clear of the relegation zone.
