Japan-based JAL Hotels plans to expand its portfolio in Asia-Pacific.
Hotel JAL Fujairah Resort & Spa in Fujairah near Dubai, UAE, will feature 257 bedrooms, a beach restaurant, a tea lounge, a teppan grill and an Arabian cuisine restaurant.
Additional facilities will include an outdoor swimming pool and an indoor diving pool, a multi-purpose hall, indoor and outdoor children’s play areas, fitness facilities and a spa.
Kuwait-based real estate company ACICO will operate the hotel, which is set to open in February 2007.
JAL Hotels has also signed an agreement with JR Hokkaido Hotels to operate the existing Hotel Nikko Northland Obihiro in Hokkaido, Japan, from April 2007. The 171-bedroom property will be rebranded Hotel Nikko Northland Obihiro following an overall refurbishment. Details: www.jalhotels.com
