IHG signs franchise agreement for the Algarve

The InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) – owner of the Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts brand – has signed an agreement with the Cerro Grande Investment group for a new Crowne Plaza Albufeira-Algarve in Portugal.
The new-build resort will be situated near to the old city of Albufeira and open late next year.
It will include 113 guest bedrooms and 50 villas alongside a 6,458sq ft (600sq m) spa. Other facilities will include indoor and outdoor swimming pools.
