UK-based hotel operator and franchisor InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has opened a new spa resort on the Costa Cálida in Spain.
The 64-room InterContinental Mar Menor Golf Resort & Spa was created by ESPA International in conjunction with UK designer Hunt Hamilton Zuch.
The spa comprises male and female thermal suites featuring vitality pools, steamrooms, ice fountains and lifestyle showers as well as seven treatment rooms and one separate spa designed specifically for two people.
Treatments include an ESPA chakra balancing full body exfoliation and age defyer facial as well as hot stone therapy.
Additional facilities include a fitness studio equipped with the Excite Technogym range, an indoor pool, a Finishing Touches Studio offering beauty services as well as a Par 36 golf course. Details: www.ichotelsgroup.com
