Hotel group launches villa-style resort and spa in Thailand
The Pansea Samui resort and spa, which opened on 1 February, is situated on the island of Koh Samui in Southern Thailand on a hillside overlooking the sea.
As well as beachfront, sea view and family cottages, the resort features six garden spa cottages, designed for people who want the ‘ultimate in personal pampering’.
The garden spa cottages have a total living area of 400sq m and will include private massage salas, cave sauna showers, personal spa therapists and special spa menus, tailored for each quest individually.
For guests staying at the resort’s other cottages, a cavern-like spa, at the centre of the resort, will offer traditional Thai therapies as well as a wide selection of contemporary holistic treatments, created by spa consultant, Ytsara.
Ytsara, founded in 2001 by Florence Jaffre and Marie Eve Cadouin, have developed an organic Asian cosmetic line, which will be used in treatments at The Pansea Samui.
Ytsara’s products are used in a number of leading spa’s in the region, including the Chiva som in Thailand and The Regent in Chiang Mai.
Pansea Samui is Pansea’s fifth property in Asia. The company’s other resorts are in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Bali.
Earlier this month, Pansea announced that it had entered a strategic partnership with Orient-Express Hotels (OEH). As part of the deal, OHE invested $8m in Pansea’s Asian subsidiary, HOSIA. Limited. Details: +66 77 429 200
