High-performance coach Stefano Santori to lead biohacking retreat at Palazzo Fiuggi Wellness Medical Spa
Stefano Santori, a high-performance coach and founder of a protocol called Mindset Biohacking, will lead a retreat between 27 October and 2 November this year at the Palazzo Fiuggi Wellness Medical Spa.
The six-day retreat will see Santori teach participants how to transform their behaviour and mindset for optimal health outcomes.
Guests will learn how to breathe with intention, regulate their nervous systems, improve nutrition, achieve restorative sleep and manage stress.
The programme will start with a thorough medical assessment, including an ECG and a biomechanical evaluation. This will enable Santori and Palazzo Fiuggi’s medi-spa team to create a treatment programme tailored to each guest’s physiology and goals.
Therapies Santori will provide include hypoxic-hyperoxic therapy, red and near-infrared light therapy and vagal nerve stimulation to reduce inflammation, enhance energy production and support sleep.
Guests will experience Palazzo Fiuggi’s High Performance Method, developed by biomechanical engineer and five-time skeleton Olympic champion Stefano Maldifassi. This is an advanced biomechanical and neuromuscular optimisation system designed to enhance posture, mobility and functional strength.
Mindfulness, breathwork and circadian rhythm realignment practices will take place each day.
Thermal rituals such as cold immersion and contrast therapy at the spa will stimulate metabolic activation. One day after a hike, guests will be invited to experience cold water immersion in a nearby river.
Santori told Spa Business, “This retreat is a reset for one’s body and mind – the first step toward a longer, healthier life, lived with awareness and intention.”
Nutrition
The property’s three-Michelin-starred chef, Heinz Beck, has designed an anti-inflammatory menu of food to support the retreat. A spokesperson for Palace Fiuggi told Spa Business the dishes include:
Marinated great amberjack with celery and oxidised chocolate – The great amberjack contributes valuable nutrients, while the antioxidants found in celery and oxidised dark chocolate are the key to this dish.
Onion cream with turmeric and ginger – All three ingredients are known for their antioxidant properties, as well as their anti-inflammatory effects.
Scorpionfish with Spring vegetables – The lean protein of scorpionfish will be complemented by Spring vegetables such as asparagus, carrots, leafy greens and peas. These plants increase the antioxidant levels of the dish and contain vitamins and polyphenols.
Red berries with elderflower jelly – The final dish is a refreshing plate of strawberries, raspberries and currants rich in anthocyanins. The elderflower adds polyphenols and flavonoids.
Pricing
Rates for the biohacking retreat start at €8,870 for six nights in the smallest of the hotel’s suites (30-37sq m) called a Charme Room. The package includes the biohacking protocols plus breakfast, lunch and dinner (with personalised dietary requirements).
