Green light for Llanelli development
A new multiplex cinema and a hotel are set to be developed in the centre of Llanelli, South Wales, after plans were given the green light by the local authority.
Camarthenshire Council Council (CCC) approved plans put forward by Henry Davidson Developments (HDD) for the six-screen cinema and 53-bedroom hotel. Restaurants, bars, retail units and office accommodation are also being proposed as part of the scheme, along with a car park and an improved bus station for the town.
CCC appointed HDD to lead the development after a design competition, which invited prospective bidders to meet a brief drawn up for the regeneration of Llanelli's Eastern Quarter.
