The non-profit Bofante Gardens Family Theme Park in California, US, will re-run its Garden Days promotion in September.
Garden Days are held once or twice per season at the park and this year will take place on 22 and 29 September. None of the park's 19 rides will operate and discount admission will be offered in order to allow more people a greater appreciation of the horticulture on offer.
The Park was founded by supermarket entrepreneuers Michael and Claudia Bonfante in June 2001.
In February 2003, Bofante Gardens hired Paramount Parks to manage the park’s operations and provide strategic guidance on finances and long-range planning.
Consisting of six indoor and outdoor gardens – namely Claudia’s Garden, the Rainbow Garden, the Monarch Garden, the Camellia Garden, the Holly Garden and the South Country Backroads Garden – the theme park also boasts a number of educational exhibits regarding the flora and fauna in the park, such as honey bees and monarch butterflies.
