Four-year Thames towpath scheme completed
Oxfordshire County Council (OCC) has completed work on a four-year scheme to upgrade a towpath alongside the River Thames in Oxford.
The £1.75m programme of work has included the reconstruction and repair of a number of sections of the route, particularly parts where parts of the bank had subsided. OCC cabinet member for transport Rodney Rose said: "Substantial improvements to the safety and accessibility of the towpath as well as to its appearance will be of significant benefit to both residents and visitors to our city."
