The Moscow-based World Class Company has announced the opening of the sixth club in its Fizkult chain in Saratov, Russia.
The 2,000sq m (21,530sq ft) club features a 288sq m (3,100sq ft) gym, a separate cardio zone, two studios for group fitness classes, and a sports hall which can be used for football, volleyball or tennis.
The facility also features massage beds, saunas, a fitness bar and children’s club.
The Fizkult chain has 13,500 members across its six clubs, four of which are based in Moscow and St Petersburg. The remaining two clubs are franchise projects based in Rostov-on-Don and in Saratov.
Fizkult was launched in April 2006 by the Russian Fitness Group, a holding company founded by World Class president Olga Sloutsker and the investment company Alfa Capital Partners.
The new club has been funded thanks to the partnership with Alfa Capital Partners.
The total investment planned for the chain is estimated at US$120m by the end of 2010.
