Design awards exhibition launches
A five-month exhibition has opened at the Design Museum in Bermondsey, London, showcasing all of the shortlisted entries for the Brit Insurance Design Awards 2009.
Nominations for the awards, which were first held last year to celebrate the best examples of innovative design from across the world, were decided by industry experts spanning seven categories. A digital world clock and a sculpture at Heathrow Airport's Terminal 5 building have been nominated in the graphic design and interactive categories respectively, while London's St Pancras international rail station features in the transport category.
The winners from each category will be unveiled at the end of February, before the overall Brit Insurance Design of the Year will be announced at an awards dinner on 18 March.
