Cineworld to revive floatation plans?
Cinema operator Cineworld is reportedly set to revive plans to float the company on the London Stock Exchange for £300m.
Cineworld announced its original intention to float in May this year, but withdrew plans due to volatility in the market place.
The Sunday Times has claimed that majority shareholder, the US private equity firm Blackstone Group, would float the company next month if conditions were favourable.
In July this year, there was speculation that private equity group Terra Firma and cinema operator Vue Entertainment were in talks to team up for a bid to buy Cineworld. Details: www.cineworld.co.uk
