Octane Fitness x-trainer supplier has installed its new Octane Fitness LateralX with Cross Circuit dumb bell kit into the Cardiff Blues RFC gym Vale of Glamorgan training ground.

The Octane Fitness LateralX is designed to give a lateral-motion, elliptical movement that works in three dimensions. It has 10 width settings to add muscle confusion to the hips, inner and outer thigh and glutes, while still working all the major muscle groups of the quads, hamstrings and calves.

Trystan Bevan, Cardiff Blues head of physical performance, said: “So many gym machines work in straight lines, yet we rarely run that way on the pitch itself, so the variable lateral motion is ideal. It is more like the action the players do during matches, while the non-impact style of the LateralX x-trainer is perfect for re-hab and recovery too.”

The Cross Circuit kit includes the adjustable dumb bell Power Blocks to offer more workout options for the Octane Fitness machine.
