Anytime to break through 1,000 site landmark

US-based Anytime Fitness, the 24-hour franchise which launched in 2002, is aiming for its 1,000th club by the end of 2008.
“Everyone associated with Anytime Fitness is proud of what we’ve accomplished this past year and excited about what lies ahead,” said co-founder Chuck Runyon.
“We’re currently opening clubs at a rate of more than one a day. The 1,000th club will be an incredible milestone.”
Entrepreneur magazine (Feb 08) recently ranked Anytime Fitness the 13th fastest-growing franchise of any type in the US, up from 36th last year, and Franchise Times magazine ranked Anytime Fitness 35th on its ‘Fast 55’ list of new franchises.
