AIQ creates programme for Curves

UK-based awarding body Active IQ is to work in partnership with women-only operator Curves International across its 600 clubs, having developed a bespoke qualification for all Curves' trainers.
Curves' trainers will be offered the opportunity to complete additional specialist training to progress their qualifications; developed by Active IQ to meet EHFA (European Health and Fitness Association) standards.
The qualification is based on the European qualification framework level 3 and will be rolled out immediately, across more than 20 different European countries.
Joanna Dase, vice president of international operations for Curves International said: "This is a major step for Curves and a positive investment in our trainers by encouraging continued professional development, enabling them to gain international recognition.
