Pulse installs first Dance Machine in Wales
Pulse Fitness Solutions' multiplayer dance mat system, Dance Machine, has seen its first installation in Wales after a purchase from Ceredigion County Council.
Capable of accommodating up to 32 users simultaneously, the system has been transported to various venues within the local community to encourage youngsters to get active.
Ceredigion County Council's active communities officer Steven Jones says: "Dance has become more fashionable in recent years and is high on the sporting agenda so we wanted to take advantage of this and highlight to our youngsters that exercise can be fun."
Having seen the system demonstrated at this year's LIW show, a second system has been purchased by the council to be permanently installed at Aberaeron Leisure Centre.
Although originally aimed at teenagers, the Dance Machine has also been used in GP referrals of older people as a way of introducing them to an increasing level of activity.
