Penshurst Place and Gardens, one of Kent’s leading heritage attractions, has launched a new website devised by full service digital agency Mind Unit.

Described as the grandest and most perfectly preserved example of a fortified manor house in England, Penshurst Place is situated in the Weald of Kent and comprises a medieval and Tudor country house, extensive gardens dating from 1346 and a Toy Museum. The new website highlights Penshurst's history and visitor experience as well as a venue for weddings and events.

Mind Unit used a design strategy that emphasises the heritage of the venue by integrating visual cues such as the family crest, typography from historic documents at the house and the sandstone colour of the buildings. The site's structure and content offer an intuitive user experience and is targeted at groups including families and schools, those seeking a cultural heritage experience and to those planning weddings or events.
