Greenwich Leisure accolade from Time Out
Greenwich Leisure's (GLL) Swiss Cottage Leisure Centre has recently been named as 'the best place to work out in London' by Time Out magazine.
The venue, located in Camden Council and which re-opened less than two years ago following an extensive refurbishment, features - amongst other facilities - a 170-station gym.
Included is kit from Technogym's Excite 700 and 700 Entertainment cv ranges, plus resistance equipment from Selection Line. A Kinesis Wall has also been installed.
Elsewhere at the centre are two swimming pools, a climbing wall, a four-court sports hall, two multi-purpose studios, a soft play area, a crèche and a health and beauty suite.
Technogym signed a five-year partnership deal with GLL in August 2007, which will see £2m spent on fitness equipment on 12 GLL-operated leisure centres across London in the first year.
The next such centre to be refurbished is the Kentish Town Sports Centre, also in Camden Council, which will receive a £25m upgrade.
With over 2,000 employees across 14 branches, Technogym is present in over 100 countries. More than 65,000 wellness centres are equipped with Technogym and 35 million users train every day on Technogym equipment. Technogym was the official supplier for the past seven Olympic Games, from Sydney 2000 to PyeongChang 2018.
