£1m grassroots investment for Welsh cricket

Welsh grassroots cricket is to receive an additional £1m investment in community coaching from the Cricket Foundation's Chance to shine campaign and Sport Wales.
The increased funding will help support the provision 14 new community coaches and is to lead to a "community coach workforce" designed to develop the sport across Wales. Cricket Wales director of cricket Peter Hybart said: "The first six months of Cricket Wales' community coaching programme focused on areas of Wales where the game is not as strong as it is in other areas.
"Now, with the increased investment from Chance to Shine and Sport Wales, we have a fantastic opportunity to expand the programme."
