£12m Esporta club set to open in Norfolk
Health and racquets club chain Esporta is set to open its new £12m club in Norfolk on 1 July.
The 16,500sq m facility will offer a 20m outdoor swimming pool, a 25m indoor pool, a children’s pool, sauna, steamroom and spa pool, two aerobic studios, a spinning studio, a large gym, a brasserie and café terrace.
It will also boast a six-court indoor tennis complex and four further outdoor tennis courts, and is set to become one of the chain’s key Esporta Racquets Academy centres.
The company has also recently announced that it has acquired the First Active Health & Leisure Club at Thorpe Wood in Peterborough and is set to invest £4.6m in upgrading it.
The refurbishment will include introducing eight tennis courts, an outdoor swimming pool, two dance studios, new changing facilities and a new bar and lounge.
“Peterborough is a key destination for us,” said chief executive Neil Gillis. “It’s one of the fastest growing and most dynamic places in the country and I am delighted we’ll be able to give local people the chance to enjoy Esporta’s ‘club-class’ standards of service and facilities.”
