Zeus expands Hallmark estate

Manchester-based Zeus Private Equity (ZPE) has acquired four hotels through its Hallmark Hotel Group arm.
The new sites, worth a combined total of £25m, are located in Carlisle, Bournemouth and Derby.
The four new sites are the 70-room lakes Court Hotel in Carlisle; the 77-room Durley Hall Hotel and Spa in Bournemouth and the 88-room European Inn in and 100-room Midland Hotel in Derby.
ZPE has now invested around £35m in its strategy to create chain of regional, four-star hotels under the Hallmark Hotel brand.
ZPE funded the £25m investment via a senior debt facility provided by Allied Irish Bank.
