Wartime heritage schemes receive HLF funding
Two wartime heritage schemes in North East England will receive a share of nearly £65,000 from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF).
The Haltwhistle Partnership has secured nearly £50,000 towards War on the Banks of the Tyne, which aims to safeguard artefacts relating to Featherstone Prisoner of War camp. Meanwhile, a £15,000 grant has been awarded to The Wartime Memories Project for the Time Slides scheme, a 12-month initiative to unveil a private collection of Edwardian photographic glass slides.
