Wales invests £2m in museums, archives and libraries

Wales' has announced it will invest £2.17m in the country's museums, libraries and archives to make them more accessible to the public.
More than £1m will go towards modernising local museums, including projects to digitise collections, to attract more visitors.
Projects include: £39,000 to improve facilities at Bodelwyddan Castle; £17,676 to digitise the collection at Monmouthshire Museums; and a £10,186 grant to the Sir Henry Jones Museum in Abergele to create a virtual museum tour.
At the Abergavenny Museum a £10,000 will enable local school children to work with museum staff to make displays more attractive to children.
A further £1m will go towards improving six libraries.
Minister for culture and sport John Griffins said: "Our museums, archives and libraries provide free or low cost access to a wealth of resources and activities that can make a real difference in improving people's lives, especially families on low incomes."
