Vortex announces new Explora Collection
Explora is an innovative range of interactive play splash pads that are designed to engage children of all ages. The collection consists of three pieces: Orbs, Mega Orbs and TwistNozzles.
Orbs and Mega Orbs are designed to provide an interactive and tactile play environment that teaches children about cause and effect. TwistNozzles are water jets that allow users to aim the spray of water whilst developing fine motor skills. The range also features unusual shapes and vibrant colours, that are designed to encourage children to actively play and explore.
Explora is designed to be used as a standalone aquatic play solution, but can also be seamlessly integrated with existing splash pads. Stephen Hamelin, president of Vortex, says: “We include a little bit of science, a bit of education, a bit of abstract structures, and a bit of magic to offer play experiences that are meaningful to child development.”
Hamelin adds: “Unlike playing with a ball or in the sand, we don't move water; water moves us. Water takes Explora to a new level of play and discovery.” Vortex will debut the collection at the National Recreation and Park Association Conference, which takes place between 26 and 28 September at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Centre in New Orleans.
