Skiplex planning to open new ski locations

Skiplex offers artificial ski slope simulators for training purposes
Skiplex has appointed consultants Sports Solutions and Jones Lang LaSalle to identify new locations for indoor ski training centres across London and South East England.
The facilities will form part of Skiplex's expansion plans and will offer indoor training, with users able to learn how to perfect skiing and snowboarding techniques on simulators. Artificial ski slope simulators similar in size to squash courts provide a safe and controllable environment - powered by a hydraulic system - in which to develop skiing skills.
The operator is looking to secure two properties covering at least 4,000sq ft (372sq m), with car parking and that preferably come with D2 planning consent. Skiplex chief executive Mark Strachan said: "We're confident that Skiplex will encourage more people to take up the sport, supporting the next generation of Olympic skiers."
