SkillsActive leads voluntary and community sector consultation
By Sarah Todd
The Sector Skills Council for Active Leisure and Learning, SkillsActive is inviting employers, voluntary and paid workers in both the voluntary and community sectors to participate in a new UK-wide consultation.
Beginning this month and ending on 25 November, the consultation aims to determine how the voluntary and community sector can best be supported by the Skills for Business network (SfBN).
Training providers, awarding bodies or funders of skills development within both the sectors will also be consulted.
Following the consultation, Rock Social Solid Research group will look towards recommending a three-year plan for the SfBN, from April 2007. Details: www.ssda-volunteer-workforce.org
