Secrets Resort & Spas brand is to extend its hospitality and spa portfolio to Jamaica and the Dominican Republic as well as open an additional four properties in Mexico by the end of 2009.
The group has also confirmed that it is to enter the Aruba market by 2010.
The expansion is part of the brand’s aggressive plans to rapidly increase the Secrets portfolio by adding more than 3,000 bedrooms and suites in just under two years.
The new Secrets Resorts & Spas properties will include the Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun, which will be the first new property to debut in mid-July 2008.
Located between 500 acres of beach and rainforest on Mexico’s Maroma Beach, the all-suite resort will boast expansive swimming pools and both indoor and outdoor spa facilities.
Next to open in August 2008 will be the Secrets Silversands Riviera Cancun. Designed as a sanctuary, the resort will have a 13,000sq ft (1,207sq m) spa which will combine hydrotherapy with indigenous Mexican treatments.
