Review of National Standard for Plant: Duties for Importers and Suppliers

At the last meeting of the ASCC Plant Standard Technical Group (PTSG), held in July 2006, it was decided that there would be a specific meeting held to discuss issues relating to importers and auctioneers (including second hand plant issues) and suppliers.
In order to inform discussions the Office has developed a discussion paper which provides all the background information. It also asks a series of questions throughout the document which will be discussed by the PTSG at its next meeting.
The Industry is encouraged to provide comments regarding the issues of duties of importers and suppliers during this initial review period. A proforma has been provided to assist in providing comments back to ACCI.
