Public consultation for £150m Ebbw Vale race track
A consultation period has begun on plans to build a £150m race track at Ebbw Vale, Wales.
The proposed Circuit of Wales is being billed as a world-class automotive complex and will be centred around a performance circuit designed to host international events such as MotoGP, World Superbikes and World Motocross.
The company behind the proposals, Heads of the Valleys Development Company, is headed by former banker Michael Carrick and also sees former Labour leader Lord Kinnock chairing its advisory board.
A public consultation on the plans will begin with an exhibition on 20 August, with a planning application due to be submitted to Blaneau Gwent County Borough Council by the end of the year.
