Phoenix Centre opens in Wallington

The £6.1m multi-use Phoenix Centre was officially opened on 10 November at Wallington, Surrey.
Integrating 15 different community uses – including leisure and sport facilities as well as a library – the 3,200sq m centre was commissioned by Sutton Council and designed and built by Broadway Malyan.
Large areas of the south west corner of the building has been glazed to create a feeling of openness and to encourage the use of the fitness suite.
The construction of the centre took 14 months to complete.
