PerformX unveils plans for most ambitious show to date, including all-new venue and headline keynote from WHOOP's Kristen Holmes

PerformX Live, the UK's leading business conference and exhibition for the fitness and wellbeing industry, is set to unveil a series of groundbreaking changes for its 2025 event, including a move to NEC Birmingham.

This decision to relocate to the UK’s leading events venue demonstrates the ambition of the PerformX team to significantly grow the show in 2025.

The move will see the introduction of exhilarating new features and unparalleled networking opportunities in line with its mission to create an event the fitness industry can be proud of. These exciting changes will include:

The best of the best fitness educators in a state-of-the-art auditorium – The PerformX 2025 education programme promises to be the best version yet with globally renowned speakers delivering exclusive masterclasses and workshops never before seen in the UK. This much-anticipated line-up will be hosted in an equally impressive new auditorium with state-of-the-art AV and lighting.

Attracting a global audience – The NEC’s incredible travel hub, with an airport and train station on-site, will support plans to unite an audience from across the UK, Europe and the globe as part of the mission to create a world-leading event.

A premium VIP experience – More than 500 elite fitness industry executives and buyers will enjoy an exclusive suite of VIP amenities made possible by the additional space and facilities on-site at the NEC. Plans include a custom-built networking lounge, hot-desking workspace, relaxation zones and a private bar, all designed to foster deeper connections and drive business over the two days.

PerformX boardroom – A new, closed-door boardroom will provide a dynamic setting for industry leaders to engage in whiteboarding, robust debates and collaborative roundtables, positioning PerformX as the nexus of industry transformation.

The ‘Gym of the Future’ showcase – Taking advantage of the venue’s additional capacity and flexibility, PerformX will introduce the ‘Gym of the Future’ centerpiece at the heart of a stunning, modern venue. This feature will showcase cutting-edge products and never-before-seen technology from brands pioneering innovation within the industry.

An unforgettable after party – The 2024 after party was a real highlight, so PerformX will harness the impressive facilities on hand at the NEC to deliver the ‘must attend’ fitness networking party of the year.

PerformX 2025 will further benefit from the insights of a newly-strengthened Advisory Board, featuring global industry luminaries such as Mohammed Iqbal of SweatWorks, Dr Jonathan Leary of Remedy Place, Matthew Januszek – host of the Escape Your Limits Podcast and Ian Mullane of KeepMe, with more to be announced soon.

This esteemed team will help shape the education programme for the 2025 event with the goal of spotlighting emerging global trends and innovations that are set to shape the industry in 2025 and beyond.

"At PerformX, we’re relentless in our pursuit to lead the global business landscape of the fitness sector. With significant new investment and collaboration with top thought leaders, we are crafting an experience that will be nothing short of spectacular, an event that the UK fitness industry can be proud of. We’re excited to unveil what we’ve been planning,” says event director Mark Hartnett-Morgan.

Attendees can look forward to transformative experiences, thought-provoking talks, and unparalleled networking opportunities at PerformX Live, held on 26-27 February 2025 at NEC Birmingham.

Headlining this year's event is Kristen Holmes, the global head of human performance and principal scientist at WHOOP.

Holmes has been recognised by the PerformX Advisory Board as the number one voice to hear in today's fitness landscape. Her expertise at the intersection of performance science and technological innovation makes her uniquely positioned to address the critical trends shaping our industry.

As the fitness community experiences a seismic shift towards digitalisation, understanding the strategic use of data is becoming crucial. Holmes' leadership at WHOOP has kept the company at the forefront of thought leadership by continuously pioneering new ways to leverage data for enhanced human performance.
