Ottawa water park to open next year
A new CAD$45m (US$41.6m, £25.2m, 28.6m euro) water park in Ottawa, Canada is to open in June 2010.
The Calypso Waterpark is the brain child of Quebec City businessman Guy Drouin, and will boast extreme-style waterslides, a 4,645sq m wave pool, a jungle river, a beach and restaurants. The park will be able to host 12,000 visitors each day.
The park was initially meant to open this year, but according the Ottawa Citizen, has been delayed by persistently bad weather. Details: www.calypsopark.com
