'No agreement' in Canterbury football hub talks
Canterbury City Council (CCC) has announced that discussions over the creation of a new community football hub for the city have failed to reach an agreement.
The council entered into talks with Canterbury Town Football Club and the Simon Langton Grammar School for Boys over the possibility of a new facility at the school. However, the failure to secure agreement over the plans means that the school will no longer be considered as the location of the new football hub.
CCC chief executive Colin Carmichael said: "The council will now continue in further discussion with the club on how to move the project of creating a community football hub forward."
