New woodland trail for Mawddach Estuary
Forestry Commission Wales (FCW) has unveiled a new waymarked woodland trail along the Mawddach Estuary in North Wales.
The Coed y Garth route is nearly 5km (3.1 miles) long and has been designed in a figure-of-eight shape onto the hillside above the valley. Available to walkers and cyclists, the trail is accessible from the existing Mawddach trail in Snowdonia National Park.
FCW recreation manager Graeme Stringer said: "It's an ideal trail to explore as the new year approaches and the excesses of the festive season need exercising away."
