New principal for Edinburgh College of Art

Dr Christopher Breward, head of research at the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A), is to be the Edinburgh College of Art's (ECA) new principal from September.
In addition to his position at the ECA, Dr Breward will also become a vice-principal of the University of Edinburgh.
Dr Breward will become the ECA's first principal following its 1 August merger with the university's school of arts, culture and environment. He is also currently curating the V&A's major exhibition for 2012, British Design 1948-2012: Innovation in the Modern Age.
