New personal trainer course for students
Kingston College, Performance Training Solutions (PTS) and the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) have joined forces to offer students the chance to gain a certified personal trainer qualification.
The NASM Certified Personal Trainer course will run over a 13-week period several times a year and will include a blend of distance learning and workshops run at the Kingston campus. The first cohort of students will start their course in September and with the course now full, bookings are being taken for a November. Matt Coulson, director at PTS, says: "This course will enable the students to achieve a REPs approved Level 3 Award before graduating, enhancing their employability within the Health, Fitness and Sporting Industry. We are very proud of this relationship, the feedback has been fantastic and we look forward to further developing the concept within the College over the coming years."
Chris Coghlan, Senior Sports Development Officer at Kingston College added: "This course is yet another great addition to Kingston College's Health and Fitness course portfolio. We are really pleased to be working with PTS and have added a course to our provision that will enable students to study at home and at college to achieve a fantastic qualification."
