The project, which received £4m of National Lottery funding through Arts Council England, was crowned Best Arts Project and was one of seven winners announced on 5 November.
We Were Brothers: WWI A Shared Heritage in Derry, Northern Ireland, was named as the Best Heritage Project, having secured a £32,100 grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
The Bluebird Care Hampshire Disability Cricket Programme was named Best Sport Project, with more than 1,000 disabled players receiving coaching under the scheme.
Other categories included Best Education Project; Best Environment Project; Best Health Project; and Best Voluntary/Charity Project.
Winners from each of the seven categories, which were voted for by members of the public, have now received an additional £2,000 cash prize on top of their Lottery funding.
