Mojaria picks up Horizons club in Derby for £1.35m
The Horizons Health and Fitness Club in Derby has been sold for £1.35m to a private buyer.
The freehold club was bought by entrepreneur Bimal Mojaria, who intends to grow the business under the existing management.
The 22,000sq ft (2,040sq m) club, which has had a number of occupiers over the years, includes a gym spread over two floors, a 15m swimming pool, a sauna and a spa pool.
Originally Raynesway Squash Club, it was sold to Topnotch, which redeveloped the site as a mainstream health and fitness club.
It was later sold to Horizons Health & Leisure, which undertook a major programme of investment.
