Little River Casino Resort, run by the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians, is renovating and expanding its 292-bedroom Michigan property to include a full-service spa and pool.
Details of the spa are not yet decided, but the tribe conducted a ground blessing ceremony on 5 June, followed by an official groundbreaking on 15 June. Minneapolis-based Cuningham Group Architecture are designing the project, and construction is estimated to be completed in spring 2016.
“Many of our changes are based on comments that our guests have made about features they’d like to see,” said general manager Ron Pete.
Currently in its 15th year of operation, Little River features 1,500 slots and table games and three restaurants, and was last expanded in 2007 to include an event centre and winter garden.
