Long Ashes holiday park changes hands
Warfield Park Homes (WPH) has sold its Long Ashes Park at Threshfield, North Yorkshire, to privately-owned Lakeland Leisure Estates in a deal worth around £7.5m.
The sale is part of WPH’s strategy to consolidate its business.
Facilities at the 124-acre Long Ashes Park include 120 holiday homes and four large holiday lodges as well as the Long Ashes Leisure Centre.
The leisure centre houses an indoor heated swimming pool, a fitness gym, solarium, beauty therapy treatment rooms, a steamroom, sauna and spa, and boasts approximately 1,200 members from the park and the local community.
There is also The Gamekeeper Inn restaurant on site.
Peter Smith, director of Humberts Leisure, which handled the deal on behalf of WPH, said: "The successful sale of Long Ashes indicates the buoyancy of the market on the back of the 'staycation' effect in the UK."
