Liverpool FC near to finalising takeover deal
Dubai International Capital (DIC) – the international investment arm of the state-owned Dubai Holdings – is reportedly on the verge of agreeing a £450m (US$890m, 670m euro) takeover deal for Liverpool Football Club.
It is understood that the investment group is in exclusive talks with the board of the Premier League club, which has given DIC the right to study the club’s books in order to complete a deal.
Speaking to Reuters, a DIC source said: “Dubai International Capital confirms it has entered into a period of exclusive negotiations with Liverpool FC about a possible investment in the club.”
A statement is expected from Liverpool FC imminently.
