Life Fitness introduces new qualifications for schools
Life Fitness and FormulaGFi have joined forces to offer new fitness qualifications specifically for those working in educational organisations.
An increasing number of schools and colleges around the country are developing purpose-built fitness facilities for pupils and staff, but many lack the skills to operate and staff these sites and design and implement effective programmes.
For this reason, Life Fitness, in partnership with FormulaGFi, is offering two industry-recognised qualifications catering for the needs of this market: Active IQ Gym Instructors Qualification and Active IQ Teaching Physical Activities for Children.
The courses are delivered by FormulaGFi, one of the Life Fitness solutions partners, and customers choose how they want to training to be conducted. Courses can be taught on site, online or a mix of both.
Matt Ford, Director of FormulaGFi, says: "Schools and colleges accept that that they have a responsibility to deliver fitness safely and effectively. These new qualifications will give their staff all the skills needed to do just that, protecting themselves, their staff and their students."
Life Fitness Academy also offers a range of CPD-accredited courses for instructors, personal trainers and fitness managers. They range from Cable Motion and Hammer Dumbbell Training to Group Exercise Treadmill Walking and Jogging programmes.
In addition, it offers a number of non-accredited workshops including a three-hour course focusing on how to strengthen and stabilise the lower back and a two-hour workshop on core strength, endurance and function.
