About HealthKey
About us
HealthKey is a health partner to gyms and leisure operators of every size, enabling them to cost-effectively offer members and employees instant access to 300+ preventative health and wellbeing services.

Backed by Aviva, its white-label platform seamlessly integrates with existing gym apps and membership management systems, making it as easy to book a GP appointment, physiotherapy session, mental health support or weight management programme as booking a fitness class. HealthKey manages the end2end operations of adding clinical services to fitness and leisure experience, helping operators offer best in class services without the operational or technical complexity this would otherwise entail.

Background
HealthKey was founded in 2022 by David Joerring and Tudor Cotop. Backed by Aviva, the company was built to make preventative health services more accessible, combining clinical and data security standards with proprietary technology making access to health services seamless and cost effective.

Main products and services
HealthKey's platform gives gym and leisure operators a fully managed, white-label digital front door to preventative health. Rather than a single-service bolt-on, it connects members to a curated ecosystem of 100+ integrated providers with more than 300 services — from 24/7 GP access and in-person physiotherapy to mental health counselling, weight management, diagnostics, women's health, reproductive health, GLP-1 wraparound care and beyond.

What sets HealthKey apart is firstly, its integration model. It embeds directly into existing gym apps and member management systems, operators already using platforms such as Gladstone, MyFitApp, Xplor, and Legend, and can go live with no new technical work required. Members access health services through a single, familiar interface.

Unlike traditional telehealth bolt-ons, HealthKey gives operators full control, operating as a health partner rather than a supplier of a single service. Operators can select the services they want to offer, and create tailored packages for different membership tiers, and can request new services to be added to the ecosystem. This flexibility extends to employee wellbeing, allowing operators to give staff, including freelance PTs and instructors, the same access.

Secondly, the model is built to drive ROI. A fixed monthly fee per member per service means operators can budget with certainty, and HealthKey's aggregate buying power — spanning insurers such as Aviva, employee benefits, and fitness operators — secures prices unavailable to any operator going direct to suppliers.

The results speak to the model's effectiveness: year-one data shows HealthKey reduces member churn by more than 30%. And operators who include health services in premium memberships see an average 37% increase in membership volume within the first six months of launch.
Plans for the next 12 months
HealthKey is focused on growth across the UK fitness sector. The provider ecosystem will continue to expand, including in direct response to operator requests, to ensure the platform reflects the real and evolving health needs of gym members.

HealthKey will also build on its existing relationships with leisure trusts and public sector operators, and will further develop and expand its data and insight capabilities to help operators evidence the health impact of their provision and make the case for investment in new facilities and programmes.

“HealthKey has helped us add real value to our premium membership offering at Kore Wellness, giving members easy access to a broader range of health and wellbeing services. The team has been excellent to work with, making the integration straightforward and the transition smooth for both our staff and members.”
– Mark Braithwaite, CEO, Kore Sandwell
"In giving members access to HealthKey's network of specialised healthcare providers, we want to create a bridge between their fitness journey and holistic wellness support. This means a member dealing with stress can see mental health professionals, someone struggling with chronic pain can connect with physiotherapists, people facing relationship challenges can find counselling."
– Haydn Elliott, managing director, CSS Studios UK & co-manager, F45 & FS8 European Master Franchise
Integrating health services into the premium membership offer is a core part of our strategy to move from a traditional gym model to a holistic health and wellbeing proposition. By embedding preventative, supportive, and clinically aligned services alongside high-quality fitness provision, we create greater value for members, improve retention, and position our premium membership as a complete health solution rather than just facility access.

What I’ve seen in practice is that when health services are genuinely integrated into the premium offer, members stay longer, engage more consistently, and place a much higher value on their membership. It stops being about price or access, and becomes about trust, outcomes, and long-term wellbeing.
