The Legacy Trust has pledged a £4.1m funding package for Scotland as part of its pledge to provide the region with a creative legacy from the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Four separate programmes will benefit from the funding, called the Scottish Project by the Legacy Trust.
The four schemes to receive grants are People Making Waves, a volunteer scheme which aims to strengthen ties between Scotland and London; Conflux, an outreach programme to promote public performance and street art; Our Sporting Body, a public speaking programme that explores themes around medicine and sport; and Let Glasgow Flourish, a programme of community engagement promoting the diversity of Glasgow.
Jim Tough, chief executive of the Scottish Arts Council, welcomed the announcement.
He said: "This offers a fantastic opportunity for Scotland to secure a lasting legacy from the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
"The Scottish Project involves four unique strands which successfully combine the culture, learning and sport and will involve thousands of volunteers and artists across Scotland."
