Three exclusive compositions with precise hertz frequencies have been created for Lefay Spa guests to experience during treatments

Lefay Resort and Spa Lago di Garda has boosted its wellness offering with the launch of three new spa villas.

A series of sound healing and breathwork retreats are also planned for the 96-suite property.

Set in an 11-hectare natural park overlooking Lake Garda, each of the three Sky Pool Villas offers an exclusive wellness retreat with a garden, heated infinity pool, biosauna and spa area for private treatments.

A further two villas are in the pipeline.

The price for a one-night stay in a Sky Pool Villa starts at €3,900 ($4,474, £3,370).

Breathwork healing

The Lefay Spa Method Scientific Committee has developed a programme to help guests 'let go', based on the facility’s principles of classical Chinese Medicine.

The Letting Go programme is based on the scientific committee’s interpretation of the word ‘Ming’, which traditionally means ‘destiny’.

By letting go of everyday challenges and the stimuli that keep us stressed, guests will be able to fully express themselves.

Dr Stefania Doria, a member of the Lefay Spa Method Scientific Committee, said: “Throughout history, humans have focused on fighting and controlling life, without reflecting on the importance of stopping to observe, and going with the flow. Holding on to things, concepts and people does not create space within you, but rather weighs us down and prevents us from experiencing new events.

“To observe not passively, but as an explorer, abandoning the concept of control, will bring a sense of renewal and confidence,” added Dr Doria. “Being filled with thoughts leaves no room to embrace new things and creates a blockage and the stagnation of vital energy, 'Qi'.”

The three-night programme focuses on breathwork activities to allow guests to mindfully focus on the here and now.

With access to the property’s 4,300sq m spa, guests experience a body scrub with bran and olive oil – designed to help them relax and let their defences down.

Conscious breathing exercises take place in the therapeutic garden, followed by an energy massage that stimulates the senses using music, sound and touch. The aim of this treatment is to help guests listen to their inner voice.

Retreat participants experience a guided outdoor excursion with a picnic lunch, drawing their attention to the natural landscape.

Local herbs are picked for use in a cooking class with the resort’s Michelin-starred executive chef Matteo Maenza. The food is based on the Mediterranean diet of fish and sustainably sourced ingredients.

Guests also have a water Shiatsu session in the spa’s saltwater pool.

The price of the three-night Letting Go programme starts at €1,945 (US$2,230, £1,680) per person staying in a prestige junior suite, including all meals and treatments in the programme.

Vibrational music therapy

The Lefay Spa has also recently added Vibrational Music Therapy to its spa menu.

Three exclusive compositions with precise hertz frequencies have been created for Lefay Spa guests to experience during treatments.

Frequencies that represent multiples of 8 Hz (the approximate frequency of the electromagnetic waves resulting from thunderstorms and lightning around Earth) are embedded in the tracks.

Designed to guide guests into a heightened sensory state, the three compositions are:

• Deep Relaxation – This soundtrack features frequencies of 432 Hz and 396 Hz, which are used to promote deep calm, support sleep cycles and stimulate creativity.

• Revitalising Positive Energy – With 741 Hz alpha and beta waves, this is an energetic option for dynamic treatments.

• Stress Relief – Detoxification and cellular renewal are said to be altered by the frequencies in this soundscape, 417 Hz and 396 Hz.

Dr Doria said: “At Lefay, we believe in treating the individual as a whole – body, mind and spirit. Vibrational Music Therapy is the latest expression of that philosophy, blending ancient healing with modern science to elevate the spa experience to a new dimension."

Lefay Resort and Spa Lago di Garda has boosted its wellness offering with the launch of three new spa villas.
