Kent play area plans receive funding boost
Plans to replace the safety surfacing at play areas in Swanscombe and Greenhithe, Kent, have secured a boost after the Big Lottery Fund (BIG) contributed funding.
Swanscombe and Greenhithe Town Council (SGTC) received £10,000 towards the scheme through BIG's Awards for All programme, which is to help provide safer play areas and increase usage. Dartford Borough Council leader Jeremy Kite said: "Our town boasts a variety of open spaces, parks, play areas and community facilities and many of these are within Swanscombe and Greenhithe.
"We want to encourage stronger, more active communities throughout Dartford and the Awards for All funding will help by improving play areas for families."
