Jacqueline Moyse of InterContinental Hotels gains excellence award
The global brand development director for Intercontinental Hotel & Resort Group (IHG), Jacqueline Moyse, has won a top award at the annual Hotel and Catering Personnel and Training Association (HCPTA) awards.
Held this year at the Dorchester hotel in London, Moyse was given an award for excellence in training and development, beating four other short-listed entrants.
The HCPTA awards aim to recognise outstanding achievement of HR professionals in the hospitality industry and nominations were judged on professionalism, creativity, influnce and impact.
As part of her global brand development role, Jacqueline, who is a training and development specialist, initiated an intensive global training programme that trained more than 40,000 staff in 140 hotels across 65 countries.
Her innovative techniques included creating a We Know What It Takes change programme and using a visual learning map which helped employees to question and visualise how they needed to change, which has been so successful it is now used across the world as part of induction programmes for new staff.
Brand president of IHG, John Wright, commented: “Jacqueline’s award was particularly well-deserved. Her work was strikingly original in both concept and execution, setting new standards in training and brand management.” Details: www.intercontinental.com
